- 1962: the newly independent and idealistic India is still class-bound and exploitative. Shankar, a village man with many skills, is an indispensable servant in the house of a senior police officer. His master’s little daughter loves his stories, and they share a close bond. Meanwhile, Shankar’s own daughter gets sick in his village while he is away....
印在妳心。前面睡着了点，但它很好。故事自然流淌，轻轻一声叹息。奴仆守护了主人家的小孩。一边乡下自己女儿生病去世；一边大房子里准备派对，偌大花园有秋千，生小病有家庭医生和家人照看。秋千是个隐喻吧，接住了小女孩的童年，自己在风雨中飘摇，无法离开。
